Missions

Lake Pointe is dedicated to telling others about Jesus Christ so that they can find forgiveness and new life in Him. The church, through the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program, supports over 5,000 foreign and 5,000 North American missionaries.

Missionaries

The church is dedicated to sending out missionaries who are based here and in different countries where they actively share the love of God with neighbors and friends, building churches and relationships.

Short-Term Trips

Because missions are not only for full-time missionaries, we offer opportunities for people in our church to go on short-term trips. Typically, they are held in the summer.  These trips take teams of people to different places where they serve for a week by doing anything from building to setting up a computer system. Most people find that going somewhere to serve others is a life changing experience.

Ministries

Along with sharing the gospel, Lake Pointe is concerned about the physical needs of people. The church serves at the John Horan Garden Apartments. Through this service the church distributes bread, free of charge to the residents. The church is also involved with the local Harborcreek Food Bank; the church collects and distributes the food to the food bank to meet the needs of residents in Harborcreek. The church also has a ministry called ServErie. This ministry meets very practical needs of people in the community from raking leaves to distributing light bulbs or batteries for smoke detectors.
