North East Cherry Festival Parade Water Giveaway

What we do:

Each year, members of our church gather together to hand out free, cold water to the parade watchers.  We accomplish this one of two ways.  The first is via a float we register in the parade.  By using a large trailer, huge tubes, lots and lots of ice, and buckets (or whatever else comes in handy), we hand cold water to the onlookers...along with some smiles.  The other way is through our stationary position located in Gibson Park.  For a handful of folks who don't wish to walk to parade route, this is a great opportunity to chat with folks while handing out water.  Either way, you're sure to feel the joy of giving!
