Purpose Statement
The mission of Lake Pointe Community Church is to build stronger lives,
families, and communities through leading people to serve God and others as
fully devoted followers of Christ.
Our Vision is to develop fully devoted followers of Christ in an intentional, purposeful way - in other words, to be a Purpose Driven Church. A Purpose Driven Church seeks to fulfill the five purposes of the Church in Acts 2:42-47: Worship, Prayer, Discipleship, Fellowship, and Evangelism. Every Purpose Driven Church is called to share the unchanging Good News of Jesus Christ in a unique way in their unique community. Since its inception, Lake Pointe's heritage has been to share this message through: worship with a contemporary flavor, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, practical Bible messages rooted in historic Christianity, free help and services to our community, and a commitment to using Sports and the Arts. Although the Word of God is living and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, and reveals the true hearts of men (Heb. 4:12), we want to present it in an atmosphere of genuine caring and acceptance. Much as a teacher will try different strategies to enable a child to grasp a specific concept, we want to use every means necessary to communicate the uncompromising Message that turns non-Christians into converts, converts into disciples, and disciples into mature, fruitful leaders, who will in turn go into the wold and reach others for Christ. This may involve laying aside our own personal preferences of style in order for the Spirit of God to move freely in the lives of those He brings to worship services or other functions of Lake Pointe Community Church. Our goal is not to build Lake Pointe. Our pure purpose, the expressed will of God throughout Scripture, is to utilize our God-given time and talents to build His kingdom, of which Lake Pointe is one small part. Beliefs
We believe in the one true God, Creator of all things. We believe the Bible is the
inspired Word of God. We believe our sin eternally separates us from God. We believe
the shed blood of Jesus Christ pays for our sins and His resurrection provides
salvation for our broken relationship with God. We believe.
